The trust check

Six things worth knowing before anyone treats you.

Injectables and lasers are medical treatments. So every clinic gets the same simple check of what you can verify for yourself — not a rating, not an ad, and not a judgment of safety. Unknowns stay unknown.

  1. 01

    It’s a real place

Sourced from the clinic’s own website or booking page, with a street address. Marketing pages without a location don’t count.

  2. 02

    Who’s in charge

The medical director, practitioner credentials and registrations, exactly as the clinic publishes them, with a link. If they don’t publish it, we say so. We don’t verify registrations.

  3. 03

    No price games

Prices from the clinic’s own menu with their unit — per area, per ml or syringe, per session or course — linked and dated. If prices aren’t published, we say so.

  4. 04

    Reviews you can verify

We link the review pages so you can read them yourself. We never invent, average or “adjust” ratings.

  5. 05

    You can see the space

Photos of the actual clinic or team — labelled and credited. No copied before-and-after galleries, nothing AI-generated.

  6. 06

    Published hours

Opening hours in London time, as the clinic publishes them. Hours don’t guarantee a consultation slot.

FIRST CONSULTATION?

Your first visit,
with fewer unknowns.

Most treatments start with a consultation. It is your chance to meet the practitioner, ask about their training and the products they use, and understand the price before anything happens. You can always take time to think it over.

  1. Who will treat me, and are they registered?Ask for the practitioner’s name and profession (for example doctor, nurse prescriber, dentist or pharmacist prescriber). You can check them yourself on the GMC, NMC, GDC or GPhC register.
  2. Who prescribes, and who is in charge?Anti-wrinkle injections are prescription-only medicines in the UK, so ask who prescribes them after a face-to-face consultation, whether the clinic is registered with the CQC, and how to reach the clinic if you have a concern afterwards.
  3. Which exact product or device?Ask which product or device will be used (for example which filler, or a specific laser) so you can compare like with like.
  4. How is it priced?Ask whether the price is per area, per ml or syringe, per session or a course, roughly how much you might need, and what a review appointment costs.
  5. Is this right for me?Share your health history and medications, and ask about risks, downtime and alternatives. Only a qualified practitioner who has assessed you can answer this.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Choosing a clinic,
calmly.

Plain answers about how Med Spa Guide works and what to check before you book. General information only, not medical advice. How we source our listings ↗

How do I find a trustworthy aesthetic clinic in London?
Start with things you can check yourself before you book a consultation: a physical address and official website, the medical director, practitioner credentials and registrations the clinic publishes, prices with their unit, review pages on the original platform, and photos of the actual clinic. Med Spa Guide lists 103 aesthetic clinics and med spas across 52 London neighbourhoods and shows which of these details we could confirm for each one, with links to the sources and the date we checked them. We don’t rate clinics or verify registrations.
Who is allowed to give anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers in the UK?
Botulinum toxin, the medicine used in anti-wrinkle injections, is a prescription-only medicine in the UK. It must be prescribed by a qualified prescriber — a doctor, dentist, or a nurse or pharmacist independent prescriber — after a consultation, usually face to face. Dermal fillers are not prescription-only medicines. In England it is illegal to give anti-wrinkle injections or fillers for cosmetic purposes to anyone under 18 (Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Act 2021). The rules are changing: the government has announced a licensing scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures in England that is not yet fully in force, so check gov.uk for the latest position. This is general information, not legal or medical advice.
Does Med Spa Guide check that practitioners are registered?
No. We show the medical director, practitioner credentials and registrations (such as CQC, Save Face or JCCP) only as the clinic publishes them, with a link to where it says so and the date we checked. We don’t verify registrations, training or safety. If a clinic doesn’t publish this, the profile says so — ask at your consultation. You can check a doctor on the GMC register (gmc-uk.org), a nurse on the NMC register (nmc.org.uk), a dentist on the GDC register (gdc-uk.org) and a pharmacist on the GPhC register (pharmacyregulation.org), and whether a clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission at cqc.org.uk.
What is the Med Spa Guide trust check?
It is a six-point checklist on every clinic profile: a real, sourced location; who’s in charge (medical director, practitioner credentials and registrations as published); published prices; review sources you can verify; photos of the space; and published opening hours. It is not a rating and not a judgement of quality or safety. A missing item means we could not confirm it from a public source.
Does Med Spa Guide rate or rank clinics?
We never give clinics our own star ratings. By default, clinics are sorted by how many trust-check details we could confirm. Some owner-verified clinics are Featured through a partnership with Winback Engine, the company behind Med Spa Guide; Featured clinics are always labelled and can appear first, but Featured never changes a clinic’s trust check, prices or reviews. We link to each clinic’s review pages on Google, Trustpilot, Treatwell, Doctify and other platforms rather than copying their scores, so you always see the current reviews.
Why are anti-wrinkle prices per area and filler prices per ml?
UK clinics usually price anti-wrinkle injections by the number of areas treated — for example one, two or three areas such as the forehead, frown lines and crow’s feet. Dermal fillers are usually priced per ml or per syringe, and skin boosters, lasers and RF microneedling per session or as a course. Check what counts as an “area” at each clinic, whether a review appointment or top-up is included, and whether a price is a starting price. A low price for one area can still add up, so ask how much the practitioner expects you to need.
How much do anti-wrinkle injections cost in London?
Among the 18 clinics on Med Spa Guide that publish a standard price for anti-wrinkle injections on one area, the lowest listed price per clinic ranges from £129 to £350, with a median of £215 and the middle half between £190 and £250 (prices published by the clinics, last checked 2026-10-28). Membership and new-client offers are excluded. Your total depends on how many areas you have treated, so confirm at your consultation.
What should I ask at my first consultation?
Who will treat me, and are they registered? Ask for the practitioner’s name and profession (for example doctor, nurse prescriber, dentist or pharmacist prescriber). You can check them yourself on the GMC, NMC, GDC or GPhC register. Who prescribes, and who is in charge? Anti-wrinkle injections are prescription-only medicines in the UK, so ask who prescribes them after a face-to-face consultation, whether the clinic is registered with the CQC, and how to reach the clinic if you have a concern afterwards. Which exact product or device? Ask which product or device will be used (for example which filler, or a specific laser) so you can compare like with like. How is it priced? Ask whether the price is per area, per ml or syringe, per session or a course, roughly how much you might need, and what a review appointment costs. Is this right for me? Share your health history and medications, and ask about risks, downtime and alternatives. Only a qualified practitioner who has assessed you can answer this.
How do I compare laser and device prices?
Compare the same treatment and area, and check whether a price covers one session or a package, and whether it is a starting price. We keep the unit with each price and link to the clinic’s own menu. Follow the clinic’s booking or consultation link to confirm current options.
Do I book through Med Spa Guide?
No. Every profile links to the clinic’s own booking page, website or phone number, so you book directly with the clinic. Med Spa Guide does not take bookings or charge fees.
My clinic is missing or out of date. How do I fix it?
Owners can claim a free profile, and anyone can suggest a missing clinic or a correction from the “For clinics” page. Requests are reviewed against the clinic’s official sources before anything changes on a public profile.
